'Thought Waves' is a first-time collaboration between Galway producer Darran Nugent and Baltimore vocalist/songwriter Phill Celeste aka Life On Planets. The result is a track that beautifully encapsulates the multiplex of emotions of the lockdown consciousness voiced through the unbounded, soul-liberating medium of house music. Phil's lyrics and vocals boldly announce 'Penny for my thoughts, but them thoughts ain't free...tricky. All this thinkin'...taking energy'. His answer is a resoundingly positive one: 'breathe slow' and 'get it out of the way'. 

Darran Nugent has been producing for over 20 years, most notably under his alias Aruba, with some sought after classic vinyls like 'How Low Can you Go' (Exun/Cocoon) or 'In Stereo' (Squareroom) as well as remixing house music legends like Fish Go Deep, Fresh & Low and Freestyle Man. Darran's sound has always challenged the boundaries between deeper and techier styles of House music, while still creating a recognisable, signature style of his own. He also runs his label called Elevation Recordings.

Life On Planets is the solo project of singer/guitarist Phill Celeste. Melding soul, R&B, and house in his original productions, the artist’s eclectic sound took him from the streets of Baltimore to cities the world over.

William Keohane aka Sacred H3art (Yoruba Records) was an immediate choice to remix 'Thought Waves' with Darran being a huge fan of his unique deep and infectious production style and delivers a stunning remix in his unmistakable style. Watch out for an upcoming releases as READ 'Where’s My Phone' on Defected and a full length album on Ocha Records.
